Orwell was prescient...

War is Peace
“I just want you to know that, when we talk about war, we're really talking about peace.”
George W. Bush

Freedom is Slavery
"Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."
Rudy Giuliani

Ignorance is Strength
"The truth is a useless commodity that will hang around your neck like an albatross all the way to the homeless shelter."
Jeb Bush

My Sources and some other choice quotes from these speeches:
War is Peace:
"Let me first talk about how to make sure America is secure from a group of killers, people who hate -- you know what they hate? They hate the idea that somebody can go buy a home. They hate freedom; that's what they hate."
al Kaida just hates home ownership people - that is why 9/11 happened - because we Americans can buy homes!

"I also want the young to know that this country, we don't conquer people, we liberate people -- because we hold true to our values of life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The security of our homeland, the need to make sure that America is safe and secure while we chase peace is my number one priority for the country."
Uh huh..... Cognitive dissonance...

"The third problem is the fact that the rules are too complex. People get discouraged by the fine print on the contracts. They take a look and say, well, I'm not so sure I want to sign this. There's too many words. (Laughter.)"
Yes, words are a problem...

Freedom is Slavery:
"What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."
Rudy, you piece of excrement, freedom IS the state where people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is exactly the opposite of what you describe. Go back to whatever hell hole spawned you and do not involve yourself in politics in America - you are done. In fact, leave the United States, and go to a country that agrees with your view on freedom - like Iran.

Ignorance is Strength:

"The truth is useless. You have to understand this right now. You can't deposit the truth in a bank. You can't buy groceries with the truth. You can't pay rent with the truth. The truth is a useless commodity that will hang around your neck like an albatross all the way to the homeless shelter. And if you think that the million or so people in this country that are really interested in the truth about their government can support people who would tell them the truth, you got another thing coming. Because the million or so people in this country that are truly interested in the truth don't have any money."
If you follow his logic, the people who have the money and are in powerful positions in this country are not interested in the truth - rather the opposite... And the people who are interested in the truth have no resources to pursue it, letting the liars get away with murder (or the Iraq war)...

"Florida has its own rhythm, too. People go to work, they watch their children learn and grow and start families of their own. They play in the sun and pass their lives enjoying the outsized blessings that make our state unique."

"Pres. George W. Bush: Jeb's my little brother, he's done what I've told him to all his life"

Republicans scare me.

Business bonus:
Since I got the idea for this post off reddit, I will link a business site to the guy who originally posted the first 3 sayings (that I know of) and sells the t-shirt:
Buy a t-shirt?

Note that the business is not mine, I have nothing to do with it, and this will be the first and last commercial you see on the blog.
