Music [Non American Edition]

The blog again started to get heavy into politics, Palestine, WW2, history, blah blah blah, and frankly I need a break.

This here is a fun post about world music that you won't hear here in the Yoo Ess of Ey, because it would take air time from such giants as Britney Spears, 50cent, Rihanna and Snoop Dogg.

So without further ado, here are the (equally annoying, crappy yet strangely catchy in a toe tapping sort of way) pop songs from the rest of the world (Safe for viewing at work):

Milk and Honey - the infamous "didi" song

Bronski Beat: the gay anthem of the 80's and 90's

Kenny Arkana- La Rage (rage) example of French political rap a la Public Enemy

Roxy Music with the great Bryan Ferry: Avalon (the most romantic song of all time)

Roxy Music with Bryan Ferry: A song for Europe (one of the most powerful songs ever written) Live Performance

Ironik - Sans elle (french pop rap) The guy in the video is an (in)famous youtube lipsyncher

Antique - Dinata Dinata (a Greek pop ensemble, singing a modern version of an old Armenian song)

Zhanna Friske - la la la (remix) an example of catchy Russian pop

Bonus Material
These two are just for fun - click at own risk:
Bush + Blair - Endless Love (brilliant!)

This guy has a speech impediment. Yet, unlike the rest of us, he has a hit: Chaccaron. And no, I am not kidding. This guy is making a career out of his inability to pronounce words...
