While the Middle East has limited internet access.... Iran has zero acces now

Oh and by the way I am not kidding. As of now, Iran has 0 internet access:

Middle East is almost an internet free zone

"DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) -- High-technology services across large tracts of Asia, the Middle East and North Africa were crippled Thursday following a widespread Internet failure which brought many businesses to a standstill and left others struggling to cope.

Industry experts are blaming damage to two undersea cables but it is not known what caused the damage.

Reports say that Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain Pakistan and India, are all experiencing severe problems.

Nations that have been spared the chaos include Israel -- whose traffic uses a different route -- and Lebanon and Iraq. Many Middle East governments have backup satellite systems in case of cable failure."

Nope no conspiracy there. 2 underwater cables that last decades suddenly snap isolating the Middle East...

And how gullible are you people? "Israel -- whose traffic uses a different route" is not affected. Really? The whole continent uses the underwater cables but Israel uses a different route altogether to connect to the internet? One country from the whole continent - unaffected? What route do they use in Tel Aviv - smoke signals?

But wait a third submarine cable has mysteriously snapped... That's 3 underwater cables which last decades, made to last hundreds of years, all break... or are cut

And now Iran has 0 internet access. Because, while Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, for example, have limited internet access thru satellite communications (controlled by USA satellites mostly), Iran has ZERO ACCESS to the internet because obviously they are cut out from the American satellite system...

This means war.

I guess no blogging will be allowed from Iran as the US Air Force bombs them...
Cutting off communications is the first step in a war, as we all know from the Star Wars: Phantom Menace...

I guess the evil trade federation is getting ready to launch its droid army right about now...

I started to read your blog few days ago. I'm still reading archive material but I must say: good work. Your posts are really fun to read. Well, "fun" sometimes it is not the word as "scary" fits better.

Anyway, keep on the good job!

Your new fan from Poland.

see, and You told me you don't have fans ;]

Btw, I've read somewhere in the 'internets' that that traffic report website is crap, because they checked one server in Iran, not the whole Iran, and cried wolf. Supposedly most of Iraqs websites are working or smth... I dunno personaly. Didn't have time to check any facts myself.
