Yves Smith: Econned

In my blog I tried to explain the scams and how the financial system is a rigged casino game, designed to take your (middle to low class people) money.

But since my job is sucking the energy out of me, and since I am a neophyte, perhaps I may make a suggestion to you folks.

ECONned: How Unenlightened Self Interest Undermined Democracy and Corrupted Capitalism by Yves Smith is a GREAT book.

Layman's terms, laid out in a simple way, the author explains to the non-financial folks who are interested what happened and how it all works.

It is a joy to read her explanations of the "free markets" concept and bitch slapping (yes, pun, and a bad one - deal with it) libertarian utopian idiots.

Highly recommended.

I pad the full $30, on Amazon it is $19 - well worth the price.

I just read this article from investorcentric. They're increasingly bitter overtones in this article seem to indicate they agree with you. The below article was reprinted from some other guy's blog.
