The 3 main lies about Israel

This will be a short article.

It is designed to give you "ammo" in any debate with a zionist.

When debating on Israel, there are three lies spread by the propagandists (whether
paid or amateur) about that small little country.

These are:
1) Israel is a democracy
2) Israel was attacked first by Hamas and is just responding to attacks
3) Israel is just like any normal Western country, similar to the USA or France for example.

Lets take it one by one.

Point 1: Israel is a democracy.
The people in the so-called occupied territories (now West Bank) have no voting rights whatsoever. (Please note that Arabs who live in Israel proper and are citizens are and do have voting and other rights). This should be obvious to any but the most blinded, fanatical and stupid advocate for Israel. Facts are facts.

Also, there is this recent news item: Israel bans Arab parties by Ha'aretz, 13/01/2009:

The Central Elections Committee (CEC) yesterday banned the Arab parties United Arab List-Ta'al and Balad from running in next month's parliamentary elections amid accusations of racism from Arab MKs. Both parties intend to challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.

Members of the CEC conceded yesterday that the chance of the Supreme Court's upholding the ban on both parties was slim.

Arab faction delegates in the CEC walked out of the hall before the vote, shouting, "this is a fascist, racist state." As they walked out, CEC deputy chairman MK David Tal (Kadima) and the Arab delegates pushed each other and a Knesset guard had to intervene and separate them.

The CEC voted overwhelmingly in favor of the motions, accusing the country's Arab parties of incitement, supporting terrorist groups and refusing to recognize Israel's right to exist.

The requests to ban the Arab parties were filed by two ultra right parties Yisrael Beiteinu and National Union-National Religious Party.

Yes, Israel is a democracy - for the Jews only.

Just like 1960's South in the USA was a democracy, with black people being put in their place by men in white hoods.

Just like 1970's South Africa was a democracy - for the white citizens only.

Point 2: Israel was attacked first by Hamas and is just responding to attacks

Israel admits: "No Hamas rockets were fired during ceasefire"

Disinformation, secrecy and lies: How the Gaza offensive came about by Ha'aretz:

Long-term preparation, careful gathering of information, secret discussions, operational deception and the misleading of the public - all these stood behind the Israel Defense Forces "Cast Lead" operation against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, which began Saturday morning.

The disinformation effort, according to defense officials, took Hamas by surprise and served to significantly increase the number of its casualties in the strike.

Sources in the defense establishment said Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the operation over six months ago, even as Israel was beginning to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. According to the sources, Barak maintained that although the lull would allow Hamas to prepare for a showdown with Israel, the Israeli army needed time to prepare, as well.

Re-read the last part, please.

Sources in the defense establishment said Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the operation over six months ago, even as Israel was beginning to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Israel was pretending to negotiate (while Hamas rocket fire into Israel was zero, because the ceasefire was observed) while preparing for the invasion of Gaza.

Everything crystal clear now?

Point 3: Israel is just like any normal Western country, similar to the USA or France for example.

A few months (ok, many) months ago I was reading a polish women's magazine (you know the type - I was bored, ok?!). In it, there was a fascinating story of a polish woman who took a vacation in Israel.

She got lost, walked into an unknown neighborhood, where a group of Jews dressed in all black with those funny hats on confronted her.

The Orthodox.

Of course, she did not speak any Yiddish as she was just a tourist.

Her next memory is waking up in a hospital, with her head split open from a stone that was thrown at her by one of the Orthodox "gentlemen". Perhaps there were several stones - she could not remember.

But who happened to be her doctor treating her than - shock! - a woman who looked like her neighbor from Poland, with whom she was best friends before the German invasion in 1939.

She was a kid then, they were perhaps 10 (memory fails me).

She talked to her in polish, disbelieving, and, what are the chances, the woman turned out that, indeed, this was her best friend of childhood days.

She remembered how she was hidden by this lady's family, and then using the "underground railway" passed from family to family until somehow, miraculously, she survived the war and made her way to Israel.

Everything well and good, but I could not shake the idea from inside my head that in any normal country the ultra-religious men would not be allowed to stone a single woman walking by herself.

Quick research - indeed, that is true, and Israel is far from a civilized country.

MSNBC: Jewish ‘modesty patrols’ sow fear in Israel ( Oct. 4, 2008, via Associated Press):

JERUSALEM - In Israel's ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, where the rule of law sometimes takes a back seat to the rule of God, zealots are on a campaign to stamp out behavior they consider unchaste. They hurl stones at women for such "sins" as wearing a red blouse and attack stores selling devices that can access the Internet.

In recent weeks, self-styled "modesty patrols" have been accused of breaking into the apartment of a Jerusalem woman and beating her for allegedly consorting with men. They have torched a store that sells MP4 players, fearing devout Jews would use them to download pornography.

Got that?

These scum - so called "religious" men - stone women whom they accuse of dressing 'immodestly'.

Know what this reminds me of?

Iran.

Keep in mind - Israel can be a hot country, and wearing shorts seems (to me at least) entirely normal.

At least, in a civilized country.

Hopefully this should give you some ammo in a debate about Israel, when some idiot or other claims (breathlessly, in one sentence usually): 'Israel is a democracy, which is only defending itself from terrorists, and Israelis are just like you, Western Europeans and Americans.'

At that point, feel free to pick up a stone and throw it at their head.

I mean, isn't that what civilized people do...?

AmericanGoy, I notice you still haven't corrected the made up quotes I pointed out in your recent article. If you're interested in accuracy why haven't you taken this step?

Note: To call or fax any in the above list, remove the “zero” and add +972 (Israel Int’l code) before the number. (Example: Ehud Olmert’s phone number is 02-670-5555 will become +972-2-670-555, fax number is 02-670-5475 will become +972-2-670-5475)

I suggest that you put your feelings on paper either by drawing or as a letter (in any language, in fact using other than English language will keep them busier and waste more of their time, which we want) and fax it to the maximum fax numbers you find there, but phone calls are still very important if you can.

More? Yes, you can do more. Call or fax the current Knesset members. Go to the following link, select any name and you will find their phone and fax numbers. Again, to call or fax any, remove the “zero” and add +972 before the number. (Example: Benjamin Netanyahu (a.k.a. Bibi the butcher!) phone: 02-6408456 will become +972-2-6408456 and his fax number is 02-6496659 which becomes +972-2-6496659)

Knesset members:

Also Knesset Directory (add +9722 before the numbers you find here):

To: The Israeli Ministry of Defense, Fax: +972-3-697-6717
To: The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fax +972-2-5303367

Last but not least, share a copy of your fax with others. Please post your fax on this flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/fax-israel/

PS. Feel free to do the same with any and all pro-Israel war on Gaza. You can start with:

White House (although they are busy backing up there files, but we can only hope that Obama will get something to read and learn about on his first day in office):
http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

The Congress (which justed gave Israel new green light to kill kids and women of Gaza):

Be creative! Search for the contacts of your government official’s website and contact them. Save Gaza!

Remember, Silence is Complicity!

This just means that since the existence of a racially pure state is ok for them then why isn't ok for the USA? If they can kick Arabs off their lands, why can't we kick jews out of the US?
